Firework Party
6 November 2009

John Elliott organised a terrific time together for Youth Groups from Ash Vale and Fetcham to join up with our Young People for the evening of November 6th.  Barry & Jessica Liddle hosted the party at their home and provided delicious bar-b-cued food for everyone.  Thankfully a break in the rain allowed John and David to set off the fireworks in the dry and everyone had a great evening together.

Harvest Service & Meal
11 October 2009

There was a very good turn-out for the Harvest Service followed by a delicious meal together.  Phil Symons, who is a lawyer in Exeter, joined us for the day and he reminded us of God’s faithfulness to His promises.  As well as God’s promise that: ‘seedtime and harvest will not fail’, Phil reminded us that God promises that anyone who comes to Him will not be turned away.

John Hamilton – Testimony Evening
24 September 2009

It was great to hear how God had worked in John’s life.  No blinding lights but a simple revelation of the fact that John needed God’s intervention in his life.  John's life was a real mess until he had an encounter with God.  But it was marvellous to hear how God worked in John’s life (even when he had only just become a Christian) and that although he had to go back to prison and to face the rigours of ‘cold turkey’ that he knew that God was there with him, directing him and being with him in all his need.  John is now fully involved in the work of the London City Mission, whose website you might care to visit.
