What we believe about Easter

  1. Jesus was arrested in the Garden of Gethsemane. Matthew 26:47-50
  2. Jesus was rejected by everyone in Jerusalem. Luke 23:18-24
  3. Jesus was tortured by Roman soldiers. Mark 15:16-20
  4. Jesus was nailed to a cross. John 19:17-18
  5. In the three hours of darkness Jesus suffered for our sins.
    Luke 23:44-48 and 1 Peter 2:23-24
  6. Jesus was shown to be dead. John 19:33-35
  7. Jesus was buried in a new tomb. John 19:41-42
  8. Jesus rose from the dead three days later. Luke 24:1-8
  9. Jesus is now in heaven and will return to earth. Acts 1:9-11
  10. We can now have new life by believing in Jesus. John 11:25-26
